If a professionally styled candy bar is out of the budget, don’t despair, we have all the tips you’ll need to plan your super delicious Oscar themed candy bar right here.
1. PICK YOUR COLOURS
Obviously Black and Gold is very Oscars, however don’t be afraid to add some red if you like…think Red Carpet glam and the candy choices are oh so yum in this colour.
2. BASE COLOUR
Black bases are always formal, so stick to black linen. For a super glam linen choice think about hiring a sequin tablecloth.
3. CANDY COLOURS
Gold candy is often the most expensive to purchase, instead try and get some gold star platters or gold trays to add your glamour golden touches.
4. ADD HEIGHT
Add varying heights to your candy bar to give it some depth, nothing says amateur more then a flat one level look.
5. SHAPES + PROPS
Cut out varied size stars or mini Oscars from gold cardboard and pin it to your table front or backdrop.
6. KEEP IT INTERESTING
Have at least 8 different types of candy to ensure there is a little something for everyones taste.
7. IMPORTANT DETAILS
Don’t forget the scoops, tongs or the take home bags!
